Conrad 30 Waiver

Some medical doctors completing their training are required to return to their home countries to complete a two-year home residence requirement. The Conrad 30 Waiver program may allow you to waive that two-year home residence requirement if you agree to work full-time in a federally designated Medically Underserved Area or Health Professional Shortage Area for three years.

Only thirty waivers are available to each state every year. The Indiana State Department of Health begins accepting applications in September and continues to accept applications until thirty complete applications are received, which typically occurs sometime in January or February.
