About

Who We Represent

Our office represents the University, including University officials acting in their official capacities. Our office does not represent individual faculty, staff members, or students in personal legal matters including employment or student relationships with the University. For help with personal legal matters, please see our Useful Links page.

Client Satisfaction Survey

Clients representing all seven campuses and University Administration were invited in 2016 to participate in our third biennial Client Satisfaction Survey.  We are pleased to announce that the results of the 2016 survey reflects that our office continues to provide a very high level of service to the University in terms of outcomes, cost-effective service, and awareness and appreciation of our clients' goals.

Annual Report

As we begin 2021-22 OVPGC is especially proud of the special legal assistance performed by our entire office in response to COVID-19.  OVPGC was pleased to partner with and support our university clients to address issues associated with the impact of COVID-19.  This partnership assisted the University community to pivot and continue moving forward during these challenging times. In addition, our office hosted the OVPGC Annual Legal Seminar virtually via zoom, which allowed for greater attendance and received positive feedback.  OVPGC attorneys also worked with outside legal counsel to clarify IU’s tax exempt status, and thereby avoid excise taxes imposed due to updated tax regulations.

These are just a few of the many accomplishments acheived by our office. We remain committed to serving the University community with the highest degree of legal service and professionalism.  Read more about this effort and all the ways we serve you in our 2020-21 Annual Report.
